Godspeed:

In an attempt to occupy myself amidst the time distorting void that is international flight, it occurred to me that I had intended to keep you folks updated from time to time, which proved inspiring…

I had a snapshot of the sun setting... but sadly I can't transfer any pictures yet, so you get a raincheck for now.

I was just overlooking some large city and was struck with a fun thought. when I was looking at that illuminated cityscape I realized it looked exactly like a Motherboard (don't worry, I've already embraced the fact I'm a nerd…) you know all that complex circuitry in your computer you never worry about.

You’re probably asking what could be so intriguing about that… so I’ll wander a bit deeper into my sleep deprived meditations!

Having grown up in a generation so overtaken by the advancement of gadgets and gizmos I’ve grown to respect the subtle, simple, yet wildly intricate design of the circuits that provide the foundation for the vast empire that is the technology as we know it… ha, forgive me for being long winded and dramatic but it was necessary to show the gravity of the metaphor.

All I could think of while taking in that beautiful view was how God perfectly embodies the Master Programmer (just go with it…), inspiring and sustaining the creation of such great cities that work under such subtle, simple, yet wildly intricate guidelines to achieve the tasks they’ve been assigned.

I just thought it was really cool to see it from a wider perspective and recognize that even the largest accomplishments man claims as his own are such a small piece of God’s overwhelming framework for this world and our lives…
